Wash at 30 degrees with a mild bleach-free detergent. Do not tumble dry. Shake out and dry flat. Both linen and hemp will always seize up after washing but as soon as you start to use/wear it the fibres relax again.

If you are using this linen for curtains we recommend using a lining to prevent fading.

Never dry in direct sunlight as the colour can bleach and fade.

Hemp is the longest and strongest natural plant fibre and is made from the hemp plant.

Hemp cloth is extremely hard wearing. It outwears cotton and other natural fibres and improves with washing and wearing. The more it is used, the softer it gets. Textiles spun from hemp are also naturally resistant to mould and ultraviolet light.

Hemp is a fast growing crop which needs little or no fertilisers and relatively little water. It also leaves the soil in excellent condition for any subsequent crop. Along with linen, hemp is therefore almost naturally organic. It is completely biodegradable, recyclable and due to its natural absorbency, it requires less dye than cotton. It scores very high on the ecological chart.
