An unusual south Indian cotton with a soft and silky handle. A beautiful rich olive green that has been hand dyed using an Indian Bandhani technique in red and white.

Bandhani is a traditional tie-dye technique where the cloth is pinched with fingernails and bound in thread. This gives the fabric lots of dots of different colours. Please note that some of the threads may still be on the reverse of the cloth, just give it shake, and they will fall off!

The maximum continuous length of this fabric is 4.5m with each batch being slightly different due to the hand made nature of this fabric.

-----

  • Composition: 100% COTTON
  • Width: 100cm
  • Weight: 100gsm

For the first couple of washes, place the fabric in the washing machine drum with a handful of table salt. This will help fix the dye to prevent it running.

Wash at 30 or 40 degrees with a non bio detergent. Do not tumble.

As these Indian cloths are handmade, they are sometimes susceptible to irregularities in the weave or print, this is all part of their charm and are not classed as flaws

CARE

Wash at 30 degrees with a mild bleach-free detergent. Do not tumble dry. Shake out and dry flat. Both linen and hemp will always seize up after washing but as soon as you start to use/wear it the fibres relax again.

If you are using this linen for curtains we recommend using a lining to prevent fading.

Never dry in direct sunlight as the colour can bleach and fade.
